What to Expect At Your Initial Consultation
Patients should expect to be greeted by the professional staff at Skyline Plastic Surgery during their initial consultation. If you are seeking cosmetic surgery, your consultation will then proceed with one of our experienced aesthetic nurses. This meeting is designed to provide you with information about your procedure as well as give you an opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Your visit will then conclude with a thorough examination and evaluation by Dr. Aviles. With this approach, you should come away well informed and comfortable with the procedure you are about to experience. Dr. Aviles wants to make sure that you have all the information necessary to make such an important decision.
Once you have completed your consultation with the team at Skyline Plastic Surgery, the next step is to schedule your procedure and undergo a preoperative work-up. The location of the surgical procedure will largely depend on the type of surgery necessary, but will also take into consideration what your preference is as well as convenience. Dr. Aviles is on staff at four major hospitals in the Detroit metro area and has privileges at an outpatient surgical center. Your preoperative work-up will consist of blood work, photos and imaging studies if necessary.
On the day of surgery, the surgical and anesthesia teams will introduce themselves to you and ensure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr. Aviles will reinforce what was discussed during your consultation and perform any preoperative markings necessary to plan your procedure appropriately.
