Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are an excellent way to exfoliate and resurface your skin. With active chemical exfoliants they can speed up the rate of cellular turnover by breaking up dull, dead skin cells and removing them leaving you with younger looking skin. In general, we recommend that chemical peels be done in a series of 3 or more or, in combination with microneedling.

Our Nurse performs peels from AlumierMD such as the glow peel for patients who want their skin to be softer and smoohter. She will recommend the right one for you during your initial consultation.

What Are Some Concerns a Chemical Peel Can Address?

  • Reduce pore size appearance
  • Fade age spots
  • Soften fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reveal more vibrant, healthier looking skin
  • Improve skin texture and firmness
  • Even out skin tone
  • Improve acne-prone skin

How Much Downtime Should You Expect?

This will be discussed with you at your appointment as the depth and type of chemical peel used by a skincare professional depends on the condition of the skin, the skin’s Fitzpatrick type (skin color and likelihood to burn), and the skincare habits of the client.

We will provide you with skincare recommendations for after care to ensure you have minimal downtime and optimal results.

Contraindications

For extremely sensitive skin and skin experiencing barrier dysfunction (eczema, psoriasis, etc), chemical peels are generally not recommended.
